From business numbers to your next step.

Build a simple review around sales, payments and the work that needs attention.

Ask a clear question first.

Start with a question such as “Which orders still need payment?” or “How did sales change this week?” A specific question helps you choose a useful report and avoids collecting numbers without knowing what you want to learn.

Compare the same period and scope.

Use matching date ranges and the same store when comparing figures. Check whether you are looking at orders, completed sales or received payments. These describe different parts of your business and may not have the same total.

Open the records behind the total.

When a number looks unusual, look at the related orders or payments before acting. A large order, a cancellation or a payment recorded later can change the picture. Reviewing the records makes the next conversation with your team more useful.

Choose one follow-up.

Turn the review into a concrete task: follow up on an unpaid order, check a stock level or correct a missing expense. Keep a regular review time so you can see whether that action helped and what needs attention next.
